Patient Admissions and Tracking (PAT) was designed from the ground up to fill two gaps which many Hospital based EMR systems overlook.  Those two gaps are a means of paperless capturing of a patient’s signature upon admission and to track that patient throughout the time of his stay and record the duration in each department.

The signature capture is our Patent Pending biometric signature so you can capture a signature against standard admissions documents.

The tracking system is a robust system which acts as a reader board for the entire staff as the location of all of your patients is viewable from any workstation on your network.  With four distinct tracking issues,  the location of each patient and their current status,  be it with a caregiver or awaiting an administrative function, is easily determined with a quick glance.  It provides a time date stamp for every encounter a patient has during his hospital stay which allows an administrator to reconstruct a patient’s hospital experience with an absolute timeline.  Further,  this information can be mined to provide information for forensic accounting issues.

PAT is designed to compliment all EMR systems as a non-intrusive subroutine and will not interfere with any EMR’s operations.  Integration of information with the EMR is available but not necessary.  Patient tracking information can be acquired manually or automatically using any wireless tracking devices be it RF triangulation or ultrasonic location.
